Your order is confirmed the moment payment clears — the seats are yours from then, and your confirmation email is the proof. The tickets themselves appear in your account seven days before kick-off.
The gap catches people out, so it is worth being plain about it: nothing is wrong, and you do not need to do anything. A confirmed order in My Tickets is a secured seat whether or not the download button has appeared yet.
Why the wait
Modern football tickets are dynamic barcodes rather than printed stubs, and clubs issue them close to the match on purpose. A barcode that exists for months is a barcode that can be copied, sold on and screenshotted; one issued a week out is far harder to misuse. The short window is an anti-touting measure, and it works.
What to do if kick-off moves
Fixtures get rescheduled for television and for cup runs. If yours moves, your tickets remain valid for the new date and time and we will email you. There is nothing to re-book and nothing to pay.
